SupportPro Tech Tip for nVenia Robotic Palletizers

The robot recovery feature is a necessary and helpful way to safely reset a robotic palletizer after a stoppage or collision, or when unsure of how to proceed after an unexpected occurrence.

Often, the robot may force you to run the recovery after a collision, and may not allow you to restart until you have done so.

*Note – Due to variations in program screens and other factors, this may not fully reflect the operations of all nVenia robotic palletizing systems.

1. Press the button that says “ROBOT RECOVERY OFF.” The button should change state to read “ROBOT RECOVERY ON,” and it should also be highlighted yellow.
2. Press the button that says “ROBOT SERVO ON.” Robot servo power should turn on, and the button should highlight green. If servo power is already on proceed to next step.
3. Press the button that says “ROBOT START.” This button should also highlight green, and the robot should slowly start moving straight up. When the robot has moved above any obstructions it will slowly move to a home position.
4. Press the button that says “ROBOT RECOVERY ON.” The button should change state to read “ROBOT RECOVERY OFF.”

In the case of a fully automated system, any partial pallet will be ejected and the robot will be ready to resume palletizing from a new pallet. In the case of a semi-automatic system, any partial pallets will need to be removed before resuming palletizing.
